20-in-1 Magnesium Complex for Women — with D3, K2 & Methylated B Vitamins
A full 350 mg of magnesium, plus the D3, K2 and active B vitamins that make it worth taking.
A daily vegetarian capsule. Two capsules is one serving, and there are
120 servings in the bottle, so it lasts about four months. No sugar,
no gluten, no GMO. Free from yeast, wheat, eggs, soy, gelatin, peanuts,
shellfish, dairy and synthetic colours.
Benefits
A full daily dose of magnesium — 350 mg, more than the 310 to 320 mg adult women are told to get.
Magnesium Supports normal muscle and nerve function. Magnesium is used in hundreds of reactions in your body. Supports normal energy production from the food you eat.
D3 + K2 Vitamin D3 and K2 together, which is how they work best — D helps you absorb calcium, K2 helps put it where it belongs.
B vitamins Folate, B12 and B6 in their active forms, so your body does not have to convert them first.
Bottle One bottle is 120 servings. Take it daily and it lasts about four months. Vegan capsules. No gluten, no sugar, no GMO, and free from the nine most common food allergens.
How we use
01 Start with one capsule, not two. The full serving is two capsules. Start with one for the first week and see how your stomach handles it. There is no prize for rushing.
02 Take it with food. Always with a meal. Magnesium on an empty stomach is the fastest way to end up in the bathroom. Food also helps you absorb the vitamin D, because D is fat-soluble and needs a bit of fat to come along with it.
03 Evening works better for most people. Magnesium is the mineral your muscles and nerves use to settle down. Most people find it sits better with dinner than with breakfast. If mornings suit you, that is fine too. Consistency beats timing.
04 Give it four weeks. Magnesium is not a pill you feel in an hour. Your body fills its stores back up slowly. Take it daily for a month before you decide whether it is doing anything for you.
Ingredients
What is in two capsules.
Magnesium 350 mg. This is the number that matters. Adult women need about 310 to 320 mg of magnesium a day. Most people do not get there from food. The magnesium comes from a blend of ten different forms: glycinate, citrate, oxide, malate, taurate, carbonate, orotate, aspartate, lactate and ascorbate. Read the honest note below about what that blend really means.
Vitamin D3 125 mcg (5,000 IU). This is a high dose. Higher than the 4,000 IU daily ceiling that both US and European food safety bodies set for adults. That does not make it dangerous, and plenty of people are told by a doctor to take this much. But it is a lot for a supplement you take every day without being told to. Talk to your doctor first, especially if you already take anything with vitamin D in it.
Vitamin K2 As MK-7 — 100 mcg. This is a smart pairing. Vitamin D helps you absorb calcium, and K2 helps steer that calcium toward your bones. Putting them in the same capsule is a good formulation choice.
B vitamins Folate as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate — 680 mcg DFE. Vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin — 12 mcg. Vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5'-phosphate — 1.7 mg. These three are in their active forms. That means your body can use them straight away instead of having to convert them first. It costs more to make a supplement this way. It is a genuine plus.
Also in Biotin — 300 mcg. Vitamin C as ascorbyl palmitate — 40 mg. Ashwagandha root extract — 10 mg. Inositol — 10 mg. Raspberry Ketones — 5 mg. These three are here in very small amounts. See the note below.
Other Rice powder, vegetable magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.
Ten forms Here is some arithmetic you can check yourself. The label says 800 mg of magnesium complex gives you 350 mg of actual magnesium. That is 44% of the weight. Different forms of magnesium carry different amounts of the mineral. Magnesium glycinate is about 14% magnesium by weight. Citrate is about 16%. Taurate is about 9%. Orotate is about 7%. Magnesium oxide is about 60%. For 800 mg to give you 350 mg, most of that blend has to be magnesium oxide. There is no other way the numbers work. Magnesium oxide is the cheapest form and the one your body absorbs least well. So this is a big, honest dose of magnesium in a form that is not the gentlest on your stomach. The other nine forms are in there, but in small amounts. We are telling you this because you would work it out anyway, and because it changes how you should take it. Take it with food, start with one capsule instead of two, and see how you get on.
Trace actives Studies on ashwagandha use 250 to 600 mg. This has 10 mg. Studies on inositol use 2,000 to 4,000 mg. This has 10 mg. Raspberry ketones have no good human evidence at any dose. We are not going to pretend those three are doing anything. Buy this for the magnesium, the D3 and K2, and the active B vitamins. Those are real. The rest is on the label.
Before you take it Talk to your doctor first if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant, or taking any medicine — especially a blood thinner like warfarin, because vitamin K2 affects how it works. Also talk to your doctor if you have kidney problems, since your kidneys clear magnesium. 350 mg is the daily ceiling health bodies set for magnesium from supplements, and that ceiling exists because more than this can cause loose stools. If that happens, take one capsule instead of two. Keep out of reach of children.
