Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream | Ceramide & Niacinamide Moisturiser for Blemish-Prone Skin
Calmer, less angry-looking skin — in a cream that will not clog you up.
A 50 ml daily face cream in a squeeze tube. It is light, sinks in fast and does not leave a sticky film. Vegan and cruelty-free. Tested and found not to block pores. The name comes from how it is built: three
ingredients for blemishes, four for nourishing, five for soothing.
Benefits
Spots Red, angry-looking spots calm down and look less obvious.
Comfort Skin stops feeling tight and sore after cleansing.
Pores Tested and found not to block pores, so it will not make things worse if you break out easily.
Barrier Ceramides put back the part of your skin barrier that gets stripped by harsh cleansers.
Tone Niacinamide evens out tone over a few weeks, which helps with the marks spots leave behind.
Under makeup Light enough to wear under makeup and under sunscreen without pilling.
Gentle No perfume, vegan, and gentle enough for skin that reacts to most things.
How we use
01 Last step in your routine. Cleanser, toner, serum, then this. It goes on top to seal everything else in.
02 A pea-sized amount. That covers your whole face. It spreads further than it looks like it will. Warm it between your fingers first so it goes on evenly.
03 Press it in, do not drag. Press it onto your skin with flat fingers. If your skin is sore or broken out, dragging makes it angrier. Take it down your neck too.
04 Morning and night, every day. This is a plain daily moisturiser, not a treatment. There is no acid and no retinol in it, so it will not clash with anything else you use. Put sunscreen on top in the morning.
Ingredients
Why it is called 345. Three ingredients for blemish care, four for nourishing, five for soothing. Twelve targeted ingredients, three jobs.
The 3 For blemishes.
Resveratrol The antioxidant found in red grape skin. It calms the look of angry, red spots.
Tannic Acid A plant compound that helps skin look less blotchy and tightens the look of large pores.
Tea Tree A gentle water form of tea tree, not the strong oil. Tea tree oil straight from the bottle stings. This does not.
The 4 For nourishing.
Beta-Glucan From oats and yeast. Holds water and calms skin down.
Hyaluronic Acid Hyaluronic acid broken into smaller pieces so it sinks in instead of sitting on the surface.
Ceramide NP Ceramides are the mortar between your skin cells. When you have run low, skin feels tight and gets irritated by things that never used to bother it. This puts some back.
Rice PDRN A DNA fragment ingredient from rice bran. Popular in Korean skincare for skin that has been through a rough patch.
The 5 For soothing.
Centella Centella is the calming plant Korean skincare is built on. People call it cica. Madecassoside is the specific piece of it that does the soothing work.
Centella PDRN The centella version of the rice bran ingredient above.
Also inside Niacinamide, high on the list, for uneven tone and oil control. Panthenol (Vitamin B5) to soften and hold water.
Not inside No added perfume. Vegan. Not tested on animals.
For outside use only. Stop using it if your skin gets irritated. Keep away from children.

MEASURED BY AN OUTSIDE LAB
What the clinical test found.
Hydration and soothing figures from a clinical study run by the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences for Dr. Althea, measured immediately after application. Dr. Althea has not published how many people took part. The cream has also passed a non-comedogenic test and a sensitive-skin safety test. Results vary from person to person.
