Warming Smooth & Firm Body Cream — Belly, Hips & Arms
Firmer, smoother-looking skin on your stomach, hips and arms.
A thick white body cream that warms up on contact. You massage it into
your stomach, hips, thighs or upper arms. The warm feeling starts in
about two minutes and stays for a while. It is for the body only, not
for your face.
Benefits
Softness Skin on your stomach, hips and arms feels softer and less dry.
Texture Rough, bumpy patches smooth out with regular use.
Look Skin looks a little firmer to the eye, the way well-moisturised skin always does compared to dry skin.
Warmth The warm feeling makes it easy to remember to do the massage, and the massage is a genuinely good habit for your skin.
Finish Rosehip oil and glycerin sink in without leaving your clothes greasy.
Feel It is a body cream that feels like something is happening, which is more than most body creams manage.
How we use
01 Clean, dry skin. Best after a shower, once you have towelled off. Do not use it on skin that is broken, cut or sunburnt.
02 A coin-sized amount, massaged in. Put it on your stomach, hips, thighs or upper arms. Massage in slow circles for about a minute. The massage matters as much as the cream.
03 Wash your hands, then wait. Wash your hands straight away and keep them away from your eyes. The warm feeling starts in a minute or two and builds. It can last a couple of hours. That is normal.
04 Twice a day, and do not wrap it. Morning and night on the same spots. Never wrap the area in cling film or a heat belt. That traps the warming agent against your skin and is how people end up with burns.
Ingredients
Key ingredients.
This is the main cast, not the full list. The complete ingredient list is printed on the tube. If you have a known allergy, check the tube before you use it.
Vanillyl Butyl Ether This is the ingredient that makes the cream feel warm. It switches on a nerve receptor in your skin called TRPV1 — the same one that reacts to chilli. Your brain reads that signal as heat.
Here is the part most brands leave out: your skin does not actually get hotter. The warmth is a signal, not a temperature. It is a real feeling and a lot of people like it. It is not your body burning anything.
Rosehip A light plant oil with natural vitamin A and fatty acids. Softens dry, rough skin.
Glycerin Pulls water into skin and keeps it there. One of the most reliable moisturising ingredients there is.
Mineral Oil Sits on top of skin and slows how fast water escapes. Cheap, boring and very good at its job.
Copper Tripeptide-1 A small copper-carrying peptide, sometimes called GHK-Cu. It is well studied in wound care. In a body cream it is a nice extra, not the main event.
Euphoria Longan Fruit An antioxidant from the longan fruit.
Glyceryl Stearate, Carbomer, Triethanolamine The boring but necessary parts. They hold the cream together and keep it at the right pH.
WHAT WE ARE NOT GOING This cream does not burn fat. Nothing you rub on your skin does. Fat sits well below the layer any cream can reach.
What it actually does is moisturise, and give you a warm feeling while you massage. Massaged, well-moisturised skin looks smoother and holds light better. That is a real result. It is just not the one the word "slimming" usually promises.
Contains a warming agent. Vanillyl butyl ether can cause serious eye irritation and, in some people, an allergic skin reaction. Test a small patch on your arm and wait a day before using it properly.
Do not use on broken, cut or sunburnt skin. Keep it away from your eyes and any sensitive areas. Wash your hands after using it. Do not wrap the area in plastic, a heat belt or anything that traps heat. For outside use only. Keep away from children.
