Firming Gold Gel | Warming Body Gel for Thighs, Belly & Arms
A warming gel for thighs, belly, arms and anywhere skin looks loose.
A clear gel with gold shimmer running through it. It warms up on
contact and you massage it in. The shimmer comes from mica and iron
oxides, so it leaves a faint golden sheen for a while. It is scented.
Benefits
Look Skin on your thighs, belly, arms and backside looks firmer and more toned.
Texture Loose, crepey-looking skin looks smoother and tighter to the eye.
Evenness Dimpled areas look more even once skin is well watered and massaged.
Warmth The warmth turns two minutes of massage into something you actually look forward to, and daily massage is the part most people skip.
Plants Twelve soothing plant extracts calm skin that looks red or feels rough.
Hydration Glycerin and trehalose pull water in, and well-watered skin always looks fuller and firmer than dry skin does.
Finish A golden shimmer finish that catches the light on bare legs and arms.
Gel Light gel texture. Sinks in fast, no greasy film, no marked clothes.
How we use
01 Clean, dry skin. Wash and pat dry first. Do not use it on skin that is broken, cut or sunburnt.
02 A coin-sized amount, massaged in circles. Massage it in slowly for about a minute. The massage is half of what you are paying for. Keep it away from your eyes.
03 Wash your hands and let the warmth build. Wash your hands straight away. The warm feeling starts in a minute or two and builds from there. It can last a while. That is normal.
04 Once or twice a day, and never wrapped. Use it once or twice a day on the same area. Never wrap the area in cling film or a heat belt afterwards. That traps the warming agent against your skin and is how people end up with burns.
Ingredients
What does the work.
Vanillyl Butyl Ether This is the ingredient that makes the gel feel warm. It switches on a nerve receptor in your skin called TRPV1 — the same one chilli uses. Your brain reads that signal as heat.
Your skin does not actually get hotter. The warmth is a signal, not a temperature. It is a real feeling, and it is the point of the product.
A big herbal soothing Twelve plant extracts, all of them calming types: Chinese skullcap, chrysanthemum, honeysuckle, purslane, licorice root, witch hazel, Japanese knotweed, aloe vera, sophora root, goji berry, echinacea and gentian root. This is a classic Korean and Chinese calming stack.
They sit in the middle and lower part of the list, so the amounts are modest. But there are a lot of them, and they all pull in the same direction: calm skin down.
Allantoin A reliable soothing ingredient. Sits high on the list here, which is a good sign.
Glycerin Second on the list. Pulls water into skin and holds it there.
Trehalose A sugar that helps skin hold onto water.
Gold, Mica, Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxides These four are what make it look like gold. Mica and iron oxides are the shimmer and the colour. That is their job here, and it is a fine job — a gel that looks like liquid gold is nicer to use than a clear one. Just know that is what they are doing.
Before you buy It is scented. Fragrance is on the ingredient list. If your skin reacts to scented products, this is not the one for you. It leaves a shimmer. That is deliberate. If you do not want a golden sheen on your skin, this is not the one for you either. The warming feeling is not for everyone. Test a small patch and wait a day before using it on a large area.
