Play well No acid, no retinol, no fragrance. It does not clash with anything else you use.

01 Last step, not first. Do your normal routine first. Serum, then moisturiser, then this. It is oily on purpose. It seals in what is already on your skin. Putting it on first blocks everything else from getting in.

02 Twist it up a little. Twist the base until the balm just peeks out. A little goes a long way, and you cannot twist it back down.

03 Glide, then tap. Glide it under your eyes, along your smile lines, across your forehead or down your neck. Then tap it with a warm fingertip so it melts in and does not sit in a stripe.

04 Any time your skin feels tight. Morning, night, or the middle of the afternoon. It works over makeup too. There is no acid or retinol in it, so you cannot overdo it.

What does the work.

Six plant oils Meadowfoam, macadamia, olive, avocado, jojoba and sunflower. These sit high on the ingredient list, which means there is a lot of them. They are the reason the stick works. Oils sit on top of skin and slow down how fast water escapes. Thin skin around the eyes loses water fastest, so that is where you feel it most.

Bisabolol The calming part of chamomile, in a concentrated form. It is twelfth on the list, which is a real amount, not a sprinkle.

Adenosine Korea's health agency lists this as an official wrinkle-care ingredient. One of the few ingredients anywhere with a rule like that behind it.

Tremella Mushroom Sometimes called snow mushroom. It holds water in a similar way to hyaluronic acid.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E) An antioxidant. It also keeps the oils in the stick from going off.

Calcium Carbonate, Collagen Extract and Hydrolysed Elastin These are the last three ingredients on the list, so there is very little of each. They are part of what the brand named the product after. Read the note below.

BEING STRAIGHT WITH This product is called a calcium balm, but calcium carbonate is near the bottom of the ingredient list. Collagen and elastin are the very last two. Ingredient lists are written in order, most first, least last.

That does not make it a bad product. It makes it a good oil balm rather than a calcium treatment. The oils are what smooth and soften your skin, and they are near the top where it counts.

One more thing worth knowing: collagen and elastin rubbed onto skin cannot get down to where your own collagen lives. The molecules are far too big. What they do on the surface is hold water, which is useful, and that is all we are claiming here.
